We represent clients in a variety of criminal matters, both in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. We handle all levels of criminal cases in Pennsylvania, from minor summary traffic or non-traffic offenses brought before the District Justice to serious felony offenses such as homicide by vehicle and murder. In New Jersey, we handle all matters in Municipal Court including traffic, driving while intoxicated, and disorderly person charges. We also handle indictable offenses brought before the New Jersey Superior Court. We have the somewhat unique advantage of practicing in Pennsylvania and New Jersey and our attorneys are able to give advice and handle the sometimes complicated situations that arise from criminal or traffic incidents that have an effect in both states.
Jenei & Cohen realizes being charged with a criminal offense is one of the most traumatic events in a person's life. If a person is charged with a criminal offense or believes they might be charged with a criminal offense, we invite them to come into our office to sit down and talk with us, explain the facts to us, and receive our counsel. In a great majority of criminal matters we do not charge for this introductory counseling session. After learning about the potential client=s case, we discuss the realistic possibilities that face them. Clients often appreciate our painting realistic pictures of the criminal justice system and our attempt to anticipate their potential outcome within that system. In many cases, what seems like a minor traffic ticket can have disastrous consequences such as a license suspension or mandatory jail time. We believe that it is critical that a person facing criminal or traffic charges speak with an attorney before making important decisions, even if those matters appear, on the surface, to be insignificant.
